Explorers Are We, Intrepid and Bold

Listen, it’s no secret that winter and I are far from busom buddies. The freezing cold temps and sad, naked trees just make me want to stay inside and nap for three months (hey, if nature is doing it, why can’t I?). But now that spring is here and the weather is nice again, my wanderlust is in full force. I try not to let myself get too booked up because any weekend where I don’t manage to just get out and just live a little is a weekend wasted in my mind. It could be as big as a weekend road trip or as simple as a drive around town on the hunt for a new restaurant, but I find the best way to recharge my batteries after a long week of work, work, work, work, work is to slip into my favorite pair of jeans, toss on a comfy top and just go.

I think it is fair to say February is pretty much the pits. Yes it is just as cold and dark and bleck as the January before it, but somehow it just feels so much longer (and worser) knowing that March and hints of Spring are just around the corner. So how did I survive this short yet oh so endless month? By running away to Hawaii of course!

Yes, T. and I have just returned from Paradise, AKA Waikiki Beach in Oahu, and I am so excited to share my island adventures with all of you (as well as brag about wearing shorts and sandals in the dead of Winter, boo-yah!). So enjoy a glimpse into our getaway, and never forget that the cure to the Winter blues is always a little bit of Vitamin Sea!

Literally my view as I looked up from the beach…it doesn’t get much better than this!

JK, yes it does…

Surf’s up dudes and dudettes!

Had to hike like 8 miles for this view…totally worth it.

I bought this dress because I wanted to bring something dressy yet beach friendly…but did I really need a reason? No. No I did not.

Passionfruit and pineapple shaved iced. Does it get more tropical than that?

Literally cannot get over these sunsets!

Apparently this is the face I make when the tide almost hits my feet. Like I’m cool, but respect my space ocean.

Spot the Whale Tail!

But seriously, these sunsets.

My new home away from home (I wish!)

As a blogger, I am obligated to take an adorable photo in front of all pink walls I see. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Until next time Oahu!
