Call me crazy, but there is something about this outfit that to me just screams “dignified woman”. Perhaps it is the all neutrals, or the knit top, but I just feel like I am meant to walk into a classy bar and order a very dry martini and slowly sip it while judging everyone else around me (this is what dignified women do, yes?).

For someone who usually gets confused for a girl scout (which can get dangerous around cookie season), the idea that I can dress the part of a woman of a certain age and actually get away with it is quite appealing. So maybe I lose that vibe as I pose windblown in front of a brick wall in the middle of the afternoon, but knowing I can have it in the first place is a big win for me! Maybe if I am lucky, next time I wear this outfit, I might actually get confused for my own age. Hey, a girl (or woman, thank you very much) can dream….
