I think it is pretty obvious to look at me and know that I am a rebel, a badass, a maverick. I mean, everything about me just screams “I wear a leather jacket and lean on random buildings while casually smoking a cigarette and not caring what you think”.
OK, so none of this is true (except I do own a leather jacket), but I do like to think that when it comes to fashion, I find my own little ways to rage against the machine. Like this dress for example. This dress is the second piece of clothing I have bought this season that is supposed to be worn off the shoulder, but I prefer the look of it on. Does that make me an iconoclast? An innovator? Someone who doesn’t want to have to constantly worry about having to readjust her sleeves? (All of the above?) Perhaps. And perhaps in a few weeks I will determine I do want to wear this dress off the shoulder, because I am a woman and it is my prerogative to change my mind. Until then, I’ll just be leaning on this building (without a cigarette, c’mon guys, it’s 2017!) and looking for a cause to rebel without.
