Guys, this blogging thing is hard sometimes! While these are all outfits I love constructed from clothes I adore, sometimes I find myself trying to build a story and where sometimes there really just isn’t one. Believe me, I’m definitely not some kind of wunderkind who has it all figured out. I mean, we’ve all seen my senior photo, we knows this to be true (Haven’t seen it? It’s hidden somewhere in another post on this blog…Happy hunting!). I wish I could say that I was the kind of organized genius who knew exactly what they were doing when they planned their outfit, but I am just so not that person (in fact, I’m barely an outfit planning person). I’m much more of a toss open the closet doors and see where the mood takes me kind of gal. A fly-by-the-seat-of-your-fabulous-pants type, if you will. And to be completely honest? I like it that way. Sure, it means that sometimes (*cough* right now *cough*) I’m just a girl sitting in front of a blank computer screen, trying to will a post into existence. But you know what? 1) That creativity and spontaneity have led me to some pretty interesting choices that I never would have dreamed of making 5 years ago and 2) all those wild and crazy choices also help me cherish the quiet moments like this one. There are no bells and nary a whistle in sight – just a cardigan, a cami, cropped pants (which give me all sorts of feelings, but that’s a story for a different day), and a kickass pair of shoes.
