Dressing For Dinner

It’s a classic rule that you should wear all of one color – especially black – if you want to achieve a slimming effect.

Of course, granting that the whole “slim” train has left the station for the time being, you’ve gotta come up with another reason for taking the lazy way out in the morning rocking the monotone look.

In this particular case, wearing all black was the correct answer to the question “what does a super pregnant lady with a limited wardrobe wear to a dinner featuring Italian food and a lot of red sauce which she will inevitably get on her clothing?”. Thankfully the addition of cognac booties, a sparkly necklace, and festively red lipstick keep it cute – and I am happy to report that the dinner was delicious (and my clothing escaped stain-free).
