While I like to consider myself a good person year round (or at least good-ish…), there is something about the holiday season that really inspires me to give as much and as often as I can. Its almost like my little heart grows three sizes or something, just to shrink back down the second January 1st rolls around. Unfortunately, I cannot be nearly as charitable as I wish I could (though T. and I do have a plan for when we win the lottery to adopt as many dogs as humanly possible and open the “Center for Dogs Who Can’t Read Good and Who Want to Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too”.), but I try to take part in any opportunity I can to give back.
If you, like me, have been looking out for ways to give back this season, then do we have the party for you! This coming Thursday, December 15th, from 6:30-8:30 PM, Paperdolls Boutique on Delmar Boulevard is hosting a shopping event with 20% of the proceeds going to Neighborhood Houses, a non for profit here in St. Louis that provides early childhood care and before and after-school programming to local kids in need. What is not to love about this? You get to shop super cute and stylish items (like the gorgeous dress, jacket, heels AND necklace I am sporting here) and know that you are supporting an amazing cause. Plus, you can cross few names off your gift list and maybe even grab an item or two for you to put under your tree as well! (unless you’re impatient like me and can’t wait two whole weeks, in which case I say wrapped schmapped, wear them now!)
Emily and I will be there, so join us for an evening of fun, fashion and maybe even a hint of goodwill towards man. Hope to see you there!
