Yeah, yeah, I hear you. A SCARF? In SUMMER? Isn’t it 3049547 degrees out? Why on earth would you want to wind extra fabric around your (let’s be super real here, sweaty af) neck?
Well, I’m here to tell you that you want to do it for 2 reasons:
- It looks adorable.
- Central Air is a thing.
I don’t know about all of you crazy kids out there, but I definitely hail from the “always cold and WHERE IS MY BLANKET” camp (ps: my blanket is currently on my lap. #KickingItOldLadyStyle). This means that while the whole wear-as-little-as-possible thing works for me when I’m outside, the second I step inside a building built within the past 50 years, I’m freezing cold again. And let’s face it, I spend most of my day inside one building or another. So while I COULD bring a sweater everywhere, I choose instead to occasionally rock a summer weight scarf, which pulls double duty as an accessory and an ultra portable blanket.
