GREAT NEWS, EVERYONE!!! It’s BBQ season! And skirt season, and sandal season, and sleeveless season… basically all the best seasons.
Unfortunately for me, after a long, cold, dark winter, I find myself (hello blindingly white skin!) and my wardrobe woefully under prepared for these sunny shenanigans. Last month I made an attempt to rectify that by buying all the sleeveless shirts, but I still find myself coming up short after dressing for a whole week of warmer temps. Enter: the basic white workday shell as a weekend piece. This top doesn’t get a whole lot of blog time because frankly, it’s pretty boring – it mostly gets trotted out when I need to suit up for an important meeting.
Fortunately for my failing wardrobe, this top can sneak on over to the weekend side with a little help from a casual knit skirt and some sandals. Add a sunny day, some lawn chairs, and the delicious aroma of grilling meat in the air, and I’m all the way ready for a summer weekend!
