Now I’m just as happy to see the sun again as the next person (well, maybe not quite as much as Emily), but guys. My wardrobe is Not Ready for warmer temps. I’ve got about a billion warm, dark, heavy, jewel toned combinations, and not nearly enough light, bright, fun options. I’m hoping that with a few baby steps in the right direction (like pants that aren’t black… and jackets that contain zero wool), I’ll be ready for this jelly. Here’s what I’m hoping to add to my closet in the next few months to make it feel like spring has sprung:
The white whale, amirite? They need to be cute and flattering (which is usually a monumental task for REGULAR jeans) and NOT SEE THROUGH. I have so many outfits that I am THISCLOSE to being able to wear… if only I had white jeans. Fingers crossed!
An Interesting Jacket
I love me a good blazer, but I’m starting to get a bit tired of the traditional 1-2 buttons/lapels/2 pockets format. I’m looking for something a little more interesting to carry me through this time of intense layering needs. Finding something cute in a lighter color would be a plus!
Here is what my shoe selection looks like right now: Boots. Heels. Ballet flats. Exactly zero shoes that toe the line (hah! see what I did there?) between sneakers and flats – shoes that are perfect for walking in (I’m coming for you, farmer’s markets) but still cute enough to rock with a skirt or skinnies.
What about you? What are you hoping to rock this spring?
