By now, it’s no secret that we here at FBC are big fans of… well, being big fans! Between the R2D2 skirts, Doctor Who inspired looks, and Hamilton tees, we’re clearly fond of wearing our nerdy little hearts on our sleeves (I mean, who else puts together a group Halloween costume across two states? Cool people, that’s who). Lucky for us, the world seems increasingly saturated with like minded lovers of all things awesome (otherwise we’d still be that weird kid on the playground who pretended they were a dinosaur while everyone else played kickball… I mean, we’re still those kids, but now it’s socially acceptable)! Recently, I had the opportunity to record a podcast with fellow stuff and things enthusiasts, Drunk and Nerdy.  Among other things, we discussed comic books and their place in the art world and I gotta say, it made the (long suffering, charcoal dust inhaling, sleep deprived) art major in me positively giddy. So giddy, in fact, that it inspired me to pull one of my favorite old Andy Warhol bags (doesn’t everyone have, like, three of those that they used to carry around constantly? No? Just me? Okay…) out of mothballs and throw together this trés Pop Art chic ensemble.

UGH, I’d completely forgotten how much I love this bag! I’m not sure why I didn’t dress like this when I actually was an art student. Oh wait, it was definitely the charcoal dust… and all those chalky pastels… and the paint… and the ink… and the random, unidentified goop… and the…

(Bee Tee Dubs: I’m told the podcast should be live on Drunk and Nerdy’s website sometime this weekend, so be sure to check it out! While you’re there, you might as well check out the other stuff they do- they’re good people!)
