Jess’s March Budget… With a Twist!

March Budget

Bi-Stretch Skinny Ankle Pants – Gap – $13.45

Lunea Sneakers – Target – $16.99

Strappy Cami – LOFT – $23.70

Total: $53.44

Wow, $53.44? Guys, that’s nearly $100 under my $150 budget!!! That’s so great!!!!

Except…

Except for that I also bought all of these…

house stuff picTO GO IN MY NEW HOUSE!!!

That’s right, during March we sneakily closed on, repainted, and moved into our new house! I even got to buy a whole bunch of these for my new WALK IN CLOSET!!! So… you could say I actually went a teeeensy bit over budget this month. But it has been completely worth it, because my husband and I haven’t had our own home since August… and it was more than time.

And we are so happy here ūüôā

Change. Am I right? There are few things more stressful, more thought-consuming, more full of possibilities, good or bad.

Personally, I hate change. ¬†In fact, the only thing I hate more is indifference. Which means¬†the second I am feeling unmotivated, disheartened or in any sort of funk, the first thing I do (after wallowing in it for a few hours…or days) is look for a change¬†(is that the definition of irony? I don’t currently have 10,000 spoons and a need for a knife, so I guess no?).¬†This is true for me no matter how big or small the situation is, I only can feel better about it when I take control, own my circumstances, and figure out what I can do to change them.

Hell yes. But you know what scares me even more?¬† Finding myself on¬†a path I don’t want to be on with no conceivable way off (oh, and spiders. I really don’t like spiders).

So I am taking the leap and hoping that the landing is smooth. And if it’s not, I’ll brush myself off and¬†run headfirst into the next one. Because while I may hate change, the only constant in this life is that it’s going to happen (like rain on your wedding day.), so you might as well embrace it.
