Takin’ It To The Streets

One of the funny things about being a fashion blogger that I really didn’t consider before jumping in with both feet (while also making sure not to damage my shoes, I’m not a heathen!) was exactly how to get amazing and natural looking photos of our ensembles.  I mean, I walk back and forth down the street while laughing to myself as much as the next girl, but its not like we always have the time to grab our (incredibly patient) friend and a nice camera to capture the moment.

More often than not, we tend to take our photos at our individual homes; it’s just convenient and means we can do multiple looks in one shoot (sorry to pull the curtain back on that magic, but we aren’t actually posting day-of looks. Bubble popped, I know). Plus it means no weird looks from passersby (I receive enough of those already for how into mouthing along to the music in my headphones I get.  Whatever dude, you’re just jealous of my lip-syncing skillz). But those with a keen eye may notice that these photos were actually taken in public, on a street! That is because Paisley Boutique here in St. Louis was nice enough to let Emily and I come by and do a photo shoot. Paisley is a gorgeous women’s clothing, accessories and gift boutique located in Webster Groves on a very photogenic street, so you can imagine how psyched we were for the change in scenery. So psyched in fact that I brought my favorite Fall hat along for the ride!

I am thinking this is the start of us branching out from our backyards and really exploring all the amazing locations St. Louis has to offer.  Plus, we all know the best way to make new friends is by hampering their ability to walk down the street with your photo shoot!

Thank you to Paisley Boutique for sponsoring this post! All thoughts, opinions and shenanigans are 100% my own.
