Does anyone else feel like their wardrobe goes from zero to fall at the drop of a leaf? It seems like the moment that calendar flips from September 30 to October 1, my closet sprouts leggings and moseys off to scarf land. Not that I’m complaining, mind you. There’s nothing I love more than wearing boots and oversized sweaters (they make me feel like a tiny elfin creature… just me? Okay…). The issue becomes finding new ways to layer all of my favorite fall basics in ways that won’t leave me freezing or boiling with my office’s fickle HVAC system (Is it going to be Hoth or Tatooine? No one ever knows). I think one of my new favorite combinations is going to be this one: cami, button down, light cardi. That way if it’s freezing I’m covered, but if it’s a sauna then I can always readjust my layers. Light layers are the lizardperson’s way of warding off unnecessary teasing from coworkers (Yes, I’m cold. Was it the enormous fuzzy blanket that tipped you off? It’s not cold in here, you say? Well, I clearly missed that memo.)
If this doesn’t manage to combat the unpredictable temps at my office, then I think I’m just going to put on everything in my closet and call it a day (that seems totally reasonable, right?).
